This idea was all Addison.
A few weeks ago he had this idea to paint an eyeball. Who knows what goes on in the mind of a 10 year old…but he wouldn’t let the idea go so off we went to the craft store. The first one turned out great and we had the bright idea to paint several eyeballs of various sizes and turn them into a creepy Halloween decoration.
Floating eyeballs are so easy. Supplies:
- Styrofoam balls (various sizes)
- craft paint – red, black, blue, green, brown (or whatever color you want to make your iris)
- floral pins (U shaped)
- thick fishing line or clear jewelry thread/cord
Paint and allow to dry. Tie the jewelry thread to a U shaped floral pin and secure to the eyeball. Hang and enjoy watching your trick or treaters reactions. Bwahahahahahahaha

Those are BRILLIANT!!! I am totally impressed with his creativity and how AWESOME they look on your porch!!! I love it! I think Addison should have his own segment on this blog here… Pick his brain for more ideas!!! 🙂

Thanks! I’ll see what he can come up with for Christmas.
October Recap - Hugs, Kisses and Snot
[…] Among other things this month was dominated by our school jog-a-thon, college football, fall break, Addison’s birthday, treats for class parties and of course, Halloween. […]

I have always been fascinated by the idea of seeing the world from different perspectives and angles. I think it would be amazing to have a pair of floating eyeballs that could explore places that are dangerous for humans.
