Birthday Balloon Wreath

Birthday weekend has come and gone at our house. *sigh of relief*  To decorate for the birthday weekend I made a birthday balloon wreath to go with my birthday banner.  A friend did this wreath for her girls when they turned one.  It was so cute I knew I had to have one for my front door. What I love about this wreath (besides how stinkin’ cute it is) is that it took me about 30 minutes to make.  I used the straw wreath from my April Showers wreath…all the umbrellas were faded, dusty and a little torn from the wind and rain of April and then being stored in the garage so I tossed them and I didn’t even blink an eye at it.

Supplies:

Straw wreath (leave plastic on)

5 packages of multi colored balloons (I think I used about 275 balloons)

floral pins

Start by pinning two balloons at a time all the way around the front of the wreath then start filling in.

Hang it up to see if there are any bare spots…I don’t want to see any straw.  You don’t even need to take it off the door to fill in the bare spots.  Just pin where needed and you’re done!

Now I have a festive wreath to celebrate everyone’s birthday.  Voila.
