Turkey burgers sounded good again this week but I needed to add something different. I did pineapple last week and it was too soon to repeat that. I looked in the fridge and found a lone sweet potato. Lightbulb.
Sweet potato turkey burgers!
I seasoned my sweet potato slices with garam masala, cinnamon and grated nutmeg. I fried them up in a pan, covered them and set them in the oven to keep warm. I guess if you feel the need to be a little bit more healthy you could bake them in the oven but who has time for that?
The great thing about these pre-formed little turkey patties is that they take mere minutes to grill up.
This isn’t the best pic but I was gettin’ real hungry.
Interestingly Harry loved the sweet potato but wouldn’t have anything to do with the turkey. Addison ate of few bites of sweet potato and then I caved and let him have the rest of his burger sans potato. After that he loved it. I just can’t win.
