What’s your birthday song?

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!

Saturday Night by the Bay City Rollers is my birthday song meaning it was the #1 song the week I was born. I’m pretty proud of my song. Everybody knows it and you can’t help but start bopping around when you hear it. Go on, press play and see if you don’t start groovin’. Plus, who doesn’t love tartan pants?! Wait, are those coolots?

Whenever we’re at a get-together or party, Dear Husband loves to ask people their birthday and then play their birthday song for them. It’s a fun party trick. This website is a fun way to find out what songs where number one in any given week/year and then serenade your friends on their birthday.

So, what’s your birthday song?

Pick Up the Pieces by The Average White Band. An instrumental I always liked but never knew the name of. Now I know it’s my MY song. I will forever hear it when doing the dishes or shopping for clothes, inside my head.

I like that you have a “doing the dishes/shopping” theme song. I just listened to it and that’s a good one. I can really see you doing the dishes w/ that playing in the background.

Mine is Whatever gets you through the Night – John Lennon… I had never heard it before – took a listen to a recording with Elton John. It’s kind of fun but not as bopping around fun as S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y … but there you go 🙂
