I have a confession. I’ve been really bad about keeping up with my front door decor. I’ve had the same wreath hanging there since May. I even forgot to put out my Fourth of July wreath. Now that I’ve got that off my chest I feel much better.
This weekend I decided that the front door was looking tired and needed a fresh summer look. Enter the summer yarn wreath.
Yarn wreaths are a god send for cheep-skates like me. $3.99 wreath, yarn from the dollar bin, 4 for $1 felt and ribbon. Done.
One thing I did a little differently this time was add a bit of pipe cleaner to the back of my “leaves” so that they would stand out on their own instead of wilting in the summer heat.
Now that I have this welcoming and cheery wreath on my door, I need to get cracking on that “NO SOLICITING” sign.
