Rice Krispies Love

This commercial makes me chuckle.  That is me every other morning in the mirror.  If I had the time and money I think I would wax my brows on a semi-regular basis.  I have some friends who won’t go near the hot wax.  I don’t mind it so much.  It’s a good hurt.  Normally I’m about 2 inches away from the mirror with the tweezers.  Not only the eyebrows but the little hairs on my chinny chin chin.  Please tell me I’m not the only one who has to pluck chin hairs.  Please.  There is a lady on my Meals on Wheels route that has a chin full of little white hairs.   I suspect that because her hands are so shaky she can’t do her own plucking, her eyesight is bad and she just plain doesn’t care.  Please don’t ever let me get to that point.  Even if I say I don’t care that my chin is covered with hairs, don’t listen to me.  Pluck, pluck like the wind.  Oh, and don’t let me draw my eyebrows in.  I have a feeling that by the time I’m 80 I won’t have any eyebrows to speak of.  Please help me come up with a better solution than drawing them in with dark eyeliner.

But I digress.

Rice Krispy Treats are about the perfect classroom party food.  This year I’m going to add orange sugar sprinkles for our Halloween party.  The other thing I love about Rice Krispy Treats is that you don’t have to worry about the kids who have a food allergy.  Rice and marshmallow.  I don’t know a single kid who is allergic to rice and marshmallow.  Nuts, chocolate, wheat, milk, soy, cat hair, no. 2 pencils.  Yes.  Rice and marshmallow.  No.  This treat is safe for my 3rd grade class.
